David M. Sloan
A Senior Advisor to The Scowcroft Group, David M. Sloan has over 25 years' experience in helping U.S., European, and Japanese clients address their operational challenges and expand their business in South Asia, particularly India. He advises global companies and investors on the region’s political and commercial risk in a wide range of sectors, including energy and financial services.
Mr. Sloan was most recently Director and Asia Practice Head for the Eurasia Group. Before joining Eurasia Group, he was a Senior Consultant to The Scowcroft Group for nearly 18 years and president of Corporate Strategies International. Previously, he was Executive Vice President of Charles Percy & Associates, a boutique international business consultancy, and an economic officer in the U.S. Foreign Service, where his last assignments were as a Visiting Fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and as a Special Assistant to the Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs.
Mr. Sloan received his B.A. from Tufts University and a M.A.L.D. from the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy. He serves on the board of directors of Obeetee Ltd. and has previously been a trustee and director of a number of non-profits as well as private and publicly traded companies, including The Mountain Institute, Counterpart International, Foster Wheeler, and Zone Perfect.
