As the global economy continues to broaden and deepen its interconnections, financial markets, insurance, and banking sectors increase their vulnerability to systemic shocks stemming from global fiscal and monetary policies, industry trends, and geopolitical and other crises. Understanding the likely paths of resolution and evolution for the industry and navigating the uncertainty of complex regulations present significant business opportunities for forward-looking companies.
TSG partners with a wide array of global financial clients, from commodity traders and alternative investment funds to commercial banks and insurance firms, offering a wide range of strategic risk advisory and investment decision-making support.

The US continues to lead the global defense and aerospace (A&D) industry with over $1 trillion in sales, but economic and political trends continually compel companies to pursue and develop new markets. Emerging A&D manufacturing powers like China, India, and Russia are challenging the space traditionally occupied by the US and Europe (UK, France). Larger, secular changes in the international system force firms to face the ever-mounting requirement to find creative avenues for expansion within the global marketplace and navigate the complexities of more traditional sources of demand.
Client Snapshot: TSG successfully advised a European defense leader on a strategic acquisition opportunity. We have also assisted a major defense firm in pursuing global partnerships and co-production opportunities.
-
Global business cycles and demographic trends continually force manufacturers to reassess their operations and investments and to consider how to restructure profitability in more restrictive environments. A focus on efficiency and the introduction of new technologies has led to cost-cutting efforts through process innovations and reorganizing supply chains to more quickly and easily respond to customer needs. But heightened volatility in commodity prices and unpredictable disruptions due to the pandemic, trade conflicts, and geopolitical crises have also provoked a push for supply chain resilience. Competitively low costs despite these challenges will be essential moving into the future.
From strategic planning to risk management to market entry assistance, TSG implements strategies to improve client productivity and protect against new vulnerabilities.
Client Snapshot: TSG advised a multinational company on multiple options for vertical integration of its product in Sub-Saharan Africa. We have assisted other multinational corporations in pursuing numerous partnerships and co-production opportunities across the continent.

With such fast-paced growth in population and demand, the energy and mining sectors hold enormous potential. TSG has a long track record of helping clients in the oil & gas, renewables, and mining sectors. We can provide the needed expertise to navigate the complexities of these sectors and capitalize on the opportunities presented as the demand for energy and critical minerals continues to grow to power the tech and green revolutions.
